Papadakos bakery was established 115 years ago. In 1900s, twenty year old Gabriel Papadakos left his village Milea to look for employment in Kalamata. Having some knowledge of baking bread and a lot of experience gained from growing up in the harsh conditions of the area, he opened his own bakery on 47 Aristodimou rd. in Kalamata.

In time, he became a true artisan and his bakery, which he ran together with his wife and his brother Stavros, grew in fame. From his four children only his son Charalambos learned and loved his father’s art and together with his brother George they opened a new shop in Athinon st.

In the following years the shop was run by his son Stavros. Today it is in the hands of his two sons, Charalambos and Theodoros. In this indeed long history our products have been met with a great success, mainly because of the fine materials that we use and the fact that our bakery is a traditional family business.
